With 20 years of experience working with neurodiverse children, including 15 years in school settings, Kim Segal has seen firsthand the growing need for effective social-emotional learning and social skills development.
Through her time in schools, Kim realized there’s a significant gap in addressing these critical areas for students, and she is passionate about helping fill that void with meaningful, inclusive learning experiences.
Kim’s school visits and teacher presentations focus on fostering creativity, building essential skills, and providing age-appropriate strategies that support both social skills and emotional well-being. During her visits for grades K-6, she leads interactive sessions that include live readings, and practical exercises to help students develop positive social interactions, emotional regulation, and problem-solving skills. These workshops are tailored to be relatable and relevant to each grade level, making it easier for students to connect with the material and each other.
For teachers, Kim offers presentations that focus on creating inclusive classrooms, supporting neurodiverse students, and integrating social-emotional learning into everyday teaching. Her sessions provide actionable strategies for building a supportive, empathetic environment that promotes both academic and personal growth for all students.
Whether Kim is working with students or educators, her goal is to bridge the gap in social-emotional learning and equip individuals with the skills they need to thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.
